A majority of the olive oil industry is a scam, due to
companies mixing their olive oil with lower grade oils such
as soybean oil. Look for 100% extra virgin olive oil,
preferably packaged in a dark glass bottle.
Californian olive oils are less adulterated than imported
oils. Look for the seal from the California Olive Oil Council
(COOC Certified Extra Virgin).
The North American Olive Oil Association (NAOOA) tests &
marks qualifying products with a NAOOA Certified Oil
stamp.
For Italian olive oils, seek out the Extra Virgin Alliance
(EVA) and UNAPROL seals. UNAPROL is the Italian olive
grower’s association, which marks their bottles with a
“100% Qualita Italiana” label.
Australia and Chile are known for high quality olive oil.
Australia has the world’s highest olive oil standards.
Not all oils are created equally.

AVOID
Avoid coffee brands not on this list. The U.S
does NOT require testing for mold & impurities,
so most coffee companies opt out to save
money.
Avoid Nespresso pods: When making a
Nespresso, you are funneling hot water through
aluminum and acidic coffee beans. All materials
leach more when there is pressure, heat, and
acidity involved. High amounts of lead have
been found in Nespresso pods.
Alternatively, you can use the stainless steel
reusable pods.
“Everything spicey is nicey.” - my dad
Other cinnamon brands have been
tested for higher amounts of lead.

Step Aside Pesticides
Fruits & veggies not on either list are in the middle ground of pesticide use. I would
personally buy organic for all that are not on the Clean 15 list.
A healthy gut is crucial for immune function and
reducing inflammation, but research indicates seed oils
disrupt the balance of beneficial bacteria in our gut
microbiome. This imbalance can weaken gut health,
promote inflammation, and heighten the risk of
gastrointestinal disorders.

Fast Fashion is out.
Secondhand is always in.
Over 60% of the clothing produced worldwide is
synthetic material, made from petroleum based “forever
chemicals” (PFAS). These forever chemicals are linked to
reproductive issues, hormone disruption, a weakened
immune system, & cancer.
Almost all athletic clothes are made from these toxic
fabrics. When you sweat, it makes it easier for your skin
to absorb the PFAS, microplastics, & other harmful
materials that are in synthetic clothing.

DEEP BREATHS
Stick to beeswax candles:
Please do your research before
purchasing plants if you own pets, as a
lot of plants can be toxic to animals.
Pets can chew on & ingest household
plants, which can lead to poisoning.
This is true for pets of all ages,
especially curious puppies and
kittens.
NON-TOXIC POTS & PANS
- Our Place Titanium Always Pan. I use this pan for everything under the sun. It’s an investment piece I highly recommend.
- Stainless Steel Set. Make sure it's 0% nickel as we don’t want nickel leaching into our food.
- Cast Iron Pan. With proper care, this will last for your great great great granddaughter.
THE KITCHEN
Where everyone belongs.
Throw away your teflon plans. Teflon aka
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic
chemical that takes millions of years to degrade,
unless exposed to extremely high temperatures.
But when Teflon is exposed to high
temperatures, it releases a toxic chemical group
known as per-fluorinated compounds (PFCs)
into the air.
